2024 Exhibitions

Our 2024 Summer Exhibition at South Hill Barn, Seaford, will involve the usual eclectic, innovative and creative mix of works on display, this time inspired by words and poetry - do follow our instagram posts for regular updates.

There is also the opportunity to take part in our open calls for contributions to the exhibition:

'Message in a Bottle', organised by Salt Edge Arts, and 'Hag Stones: Luck and Protection', organised by guest artist Sarah Pain - details below...

Open Call: Hag Stones: Luck & Protection.

In Sussex, UK, as recently as the 1920s, people regularly hung hag stones (stones with a hole) in their homes and gardens to bring luck or protect them from evil goings on.

I want to build a library of images that collates a continuation of this folklore and records what people choose for luck or protection.

DM me on Instagram @misssarahpain or email painsarah@hotmail.com if you’d like to be involved.

Brought to you by our Salt Edge Artists - work in progress can be seen on our Instagram and Facebook pages.

Information about our previous exhibitions can be seen here.
